ILLINOIS CITIZEN ACTION PAC ENDORSES DAVID SCHROEDER FOR ILLINOIS HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Chicago, IL – On December 5, 2009, the Progressive Action Project, the state political action committee of Citizen Action, announced its endorsement of David Schroeder in the Democratic primary for the Illinois House of Representatives in the 5^th District.

Illinois Citizen Action is the state’s largest public interest organization, fighting for Illinoisans on issues as varied as utility rates, health care reform, and ethics.

“I’m tremendously excited about Citizen Action’s decision to endorse me,” said Schroeder.  “It’s an honor to be endorsed by an organization that has accomplished so much for the benefit of regular people.”

In particular, Schroeder noted Citizen Action’s work in the areas of health care reform, reigning in the excesses of the payday loan industry, and ethics.

Schroeder is running against incumbent Ken Dunkin for the Illinois House of Representatives in the 5^th District.  The primary election is February 2, 2010.
